This Lake District home in San Francisco was a developer's down-to-the-studs project, reimagined and designed by Soledad Alzaga Interior Design with help from Studio Terpeluk architects. We reconfigured and opened up the spaces to create a seamless flow between rooms for an open concept floor plan. Custom cabinets, finishes and a big long island were added to the kitchen. Additional bathrooms and rooms were added, transforming the house from a three-bedroom, one-bathroom layout to a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home, significantly increasing both space and value. The basement garage was transformed into a livable space with a laundry room and an office opening to the backyard. The project also included landscaping to complete the home's transformation.
