Located in Healdsburg, Northern California, a dated Italianate house has been transformed into a California Casual Mediterranean home. Soledad Alzaga Interior Design was hired to redesign, renovate, and project manage the entire main house, guest house, pool and gardens.
The renovation included all aspects of the finishes and furnishings. We updated bathrooms, refinished and lightened the ceiling beams, and replaced the wall-to-wall carpet with wide plank white oak floors. The old ornate fireplace was replaced with a modern see-through gas fireplace, enhancing the flow between spaces. The result is a light, airy, and welcoming home perfect for the family to enjoy and entertain.
